life serves
another reminder:

we are not invincible,

even our immortals
have only
so much time
in the sun
before darkness falls;

nothing is forever

Inevitability

time has done
its inevitable business,

another piece of life
reduced to memory,

an aching reminder
to make the most
of today;

even our immortals succumb
to the passing
of time

Right Thing

if you can
than do

don't wait
for permission
or weight your role,

if it is the right thing
do it

without delay

so why do we struggle
to do so
