I keep going
to the well
expecting to find
change,
I am met
with the same
acrid waters,
is my mistake
in taking
the same path
to the same destination
and expecting to find
something new
should I be seeking
a different route,
looking in a different direction
what part of this equation
do I control,
in that answer
lies the answer

Regrets
there is no announcement when
we begin the back half
of our lives,
so today must be the day
we begin removing regrets -
when we come to our end,
there is no room
for looking back,
wishing we could change,
wondering what
we might have been -
what dreams
have been put on pause,
the life we wish we led,
start now,
tomorrow is no guarantee,
the end could be closer
than we know,
stop delaying,
chase after your dreams,
let your regret be
that you never caught them,
not that you never
took up the chase
