Learning

holding on to the hurt
does nothing
but keep it alive;
allow it its moment -
keep it brief -
then move on,
so you might grow
from its experience
and it might fade
into its proper place
as a distant memory

Destiny

a new day breaks,
another new beginning;
will we alter course - 
change our method -
or continue
on the same track,
frustrated we have not changed -
not grown into our dreams -
we are the keepers
of our own destiny

The Journey

what is the prize
for finishing this race first:
money, acclaim, fame -
better to think of them
as a price -
which do you take with you
when you return to the Earth;
what is the cost
of all you missed in their pursuit;
the journey is the gift -
the destination but a moment -
slow down
embrace the path
